This Cookie Notice explains how Chiri, Inc. ("Chiri," "we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on chiri.ai, blog.chiri.ai, and related Services.

This Cookie Notice should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Online Terms of Service.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website or use an online service. We may also use similar technologies such as local storage, scripts, and tags.

At the current stage, we use these technologies for a limited set of purposes: keeping our sites working, and understanding aggregate usage so we can improve performance and reliability.

2. Categories of cookies we use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies and similar technologies are required for our websites to function and cannot be switched off. They may be used to:

  • route traffic and balance load;
  • maintain session state;
  • remember basic preferences such as theme (light/dark);
  • prevent fraud and abuse; and
  • enable core website functionality.

Because these technologies are necessary to provide the service you request, they do not require consent in jurisdictions that exempt strictly necessary technologies.

2.2 Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on chiri.ai and blog.chiri.ai to understand, in aggregate, how visitors interact with our sites so we can improve performance, usability, and reliability. GA4 may set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate geolocation derived from IP address, device and browser information, and session activity.

We do not use GA4 to target advertising, build remarketing audiences, or share data with advertising partners.

Where required by law, we obtain consent before setting GA4 cookies, and we honor recognized opt-out signals as described in Section 4.

3. What we do not use

At this time, Chiri does not use:

  • marketing, advertising, or retargeting cookies;
  • cross-site tracking pixels;
  • social media tracking pixels;
  • functional cookies beyond theme and session preferences; or
  • third-party analytics tools other than Google Analytics 4.

If we later introduce any of the above, we will update this Cookie Notice and our Privacy Policy before those technologies go live.

4. Your choices

You can manage cookies and similar technologies in several ways:

  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect site functionality.
  • Google Analytics opt-out. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by GA4 across any site that uses it.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where required by applicable law, we recognize qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as GPC, as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Because we do not currently sell or share Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising, the practical effect of GPC today is limited, but we will continue to honor it if and when such processing is ever introduced.

5. Third-party providers

We currently use the following third parties that may set cookies or similar technologies on our sites:

  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 for analytics on chiri.ai and blog.chiri.ai. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Cloud hosting and content delivery providers — for strictly necessary site operation.

6. Cookie retention

Some cookies last only for your session and expire when you close your browser. Others remain for a set period or until deleted. We configure cookie durations based on their purpose and our operational needs. GA4 cookies typically expire between a few minutes and two years after they are set, depending on the specific cookie.

7. Changes to this Cookie Notice

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and update the "Last Updated" date.
